Friends, I have a bit of Tiny Confession to make: Babs is not done yet. I know, I know. I said last time that she’d be done and I’d be prancing around in the beauty that is Babs. But I have a good excuse reason! I was all set to finish her up on my wedding week extravaganza back in Missouri. I honestly didn’t bring anything else to entertain me except that project. And then, our dear friend, our dear pregnant friend, suggested that she include Tiny Stitchers in her baby registry. Of course we were so honored to be a part of that for her. But this also meant we needed to hustle up on making some baby knits! Anyway, the short of the long of it is that I immediately went to Joann in Columbia, MO and bought up some baby yarn and started knitting. I’ve been knitting up some prototypes and creating some patterns. And it’s been so much fun!! I also got some baby onesies, which I plan to embroider on just for even more baby clothing fun. Don’t worry, I am SO CLOSE to being done with Babs. I promise.

As C mentioned, we’re both in baby overdrive right now! I just finished up an elvish baby hat pattern in the dreamiest colorway! The yarn is Sparkle DK by The Lemonade Shop in Go Fly A Kite and I am just so in love with the speckles and the sparkles. Oh shoot, I guess I should write the pattern down before I forget haha. I just love winging projects, but regret not writing things down every. single. time. so I gotta get that bad habit in check. I’ll write it right now.
Ok done! That was super easy…maybe we release these patterns for free in our next check-in??! I think we can swing that.
In other news, I’m still working on my Shocking Pink and orange kimono-style cardigan. Just about done with the back piece and ready to move on to the fronts! I’m designing it to have as few seams as possible because, boo seams, and also experimenting with short rows for the neckline/collar. I’m finally SUPER into short rows and am really digging all of the wacky shaping possibilities at my fingertips.
We’re also gearing up for our first ever backyard knit night, aka gathering all of our friends and teaching them how to knit something small while drinking cocktails and bbq-ing! Sounds wonderful right? We’re very excited!

This week was the first week that we received our first Imperfect Produce order! There was a bit of a delivery hiccup with the actual first order, which delayed it a bit. Finally we got it yesterday and I couldn’t be more excited! I think what I’m most pumped about is finding fun recipes so I can make sure to use up the produce. I like that it’s giving me parameters around finding a recipe – and then I can even try to use something from my fire escape garden (which you know I’m also obsessed with.) They even give you some googly eyes to put on your produce because #instagram and also #googlyeyes. Also if you post your photo to social media, they’ll donate 5lbs of food to a local food bank.

Omg I am so INSANELY obsessed with still life food styling right now. Everyone is giving me LIFE with their new promo photos, like this one from Daily Harvest.
UGH! LOVE! If anyone knows the artist, please let me know! This obsession is also taking over our Pinterest Mood Board for fall haha. Oops. Be sure to follow us along on Pinterest, BTW, and see what we’re adding to our board! Going to start adding a new piece every Friday!
Thats all for now, see you in a few weeks!!
